Each year, more than 400 people die as a result of workplace violence in the United States — a growing problem that affects an employee’s safety, quality of life and business productivity.

Although homicides are widely publicized, they make up a relatively small portion of incidents. Attorney Michelle Lee Flores, a member in Cozen O’Connor’s Los Angeles office and the firm’s labor and employment department, has been practicing employment law for more than 20 years.
