As we know, Pride Month is often known for its parades and rainbow flags, but over 50 years ago, the movement got its start following protests and riots led by transwomen of color in New York City. And while this movement still continues, now is the time for everyone, including employers, to put a dedicated focus on allyship.

A critical part of helping people thrive at work is creating a safe space to work. Even in supportive environments, many transgender and gender-nonconforming people can still expect uncomfortable conversations over and over again, sometimes every day. It’s everything from introductions to inclusive restrooms.
