Cultivating a Culture of Workplace Cybersecurity - On-Demand

Webinar now available On-Demand.

Length: 1 hour

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Help protect your data, workplace and community by learning tactics for fortifying your company’s cybersecurity and mitigating the risks of an attack by participating in this engaging training session.

One of the keys to the victory of the United States and its allies in World War II was the tremendous support that the nation’s fighting forces received from the home front. Across the country, people bought Liberty Bonds, planted Victory Gardens, knit Red Cross watch caps, saved scraps of metal, and heeded the warning that “Loose Lips Sink Ships.”

Business leaders and employees need to recognize that a similar collective response is needed to combat the significant economic and social harm that hackers and digital terrorists can inflict on us. Using examples drawn from recent headlines, this presentation will underscore organizational and personal vulnerabilities and highlight the staggering economic and social damage that can result from a successful digital assault.

A central theme of this presentation is that each person has an obligation to understand the risks that we face, the need for good personal cybersecurity, and the duty we owe to each other to protect our data, our organizations, and our communities.

At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Define the current cyberthreat landscape, with an emphasis on ransomware.
  • Explore the various types of security lapses that can lead to an unauthorized intrusion or shutdown of resources, ranging from poor password security and phishing lapses to failure to install patches and properly secure the physical environment.
  • Practice the steps individuals and organizations can take to minimize intrusions and promote a culture of cybersecurity.
