The 2019 Biennial Report: Changes to the Form and How to Prepare Before the March 1 Deadline - On-Demand

Webinar now available On-Demand.

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Learn what’s changing on the EPA Form 8700-13A/B so you’re well prepared for the Biennial Report March 1, 2020 filing deadline.

By March 1, 2020, large quantity generators of hazardous waste, owners and operators of permitted hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facilities (TSDFs), and other specific entities must complete and submit to the EPA the federal Biennial Report on EPA Form 8700-13A/B. The purpose of the form is to provide EPA with information of the facility’s hazardous waste activities during the previous odd-numbered calendar year (e.g. 2019).

EPA revises the form every two years so it’s important to understand what information has been added, and what has been deleted. For example, as of two years ago, facilities that recycle regulated hazardous waste without first storing the waste (i.e., the facility does not have a RCRA Part B storage permit) must also report for the previous calendar year.

Consider, too, that there are many common questions that can trip organizations up, such as:

  • How has the required information changed from two years ago?
  • Do I need to complete the information concerning hazardous secondary material activity?
  • What best management practices would facilitate the report preparation process?
  • Does my one-time generation of hazardous waste need to be reported?

Get answers to these questions and more by joining using this on-demand webinar with Richard DiMambro, P.E. of Integrity Environmental Strategies LLC who will explain what’s changing on the federal Biennial Report on EPA Form 8700-13A/B for reporting due by March 1, 2020.

After attending this webinar, you’ll be able to:

  • Determine if you’re required to file the Biennial Report
  • Identify the changes made on the forms for this year’s report
  • Recognize the documents and records you should collect now to complete the report
  • Identify the changes to the report resulting from the adoption of the Hazardous Waste Generator Improvements Rule
  • Implement a plan to ensure that the form is submitted on time
