WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: The Toxic Release Inventory Report deadline of July 1, 2018 is quickly approaching — is your organization prepared?

It seems that every year brings changes to Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) reporting requirements—but do you know what the changes are this year?

The 2018 TRI reports are due on July 1, 2018, and this year is the first that requires the reporting of chemicals in the hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) category. In addition, chemicals not reported in the past may need to be reported this year because the de minimis levels have been reduced as a result of the chemicals being newly classified as carcinogens by OSHA. Finally, newly adopted NAICS codes may necessitate updating your reporting forms.

Join us on May 10th when Wendy Tindall, Environmental Compliance Manager at Bay West, will provide attendees first with guidance for determining if your facility is subject to the TRI reporting requirements. During this engaging presentation she will walk through a step-by-step approach for completing and submitting the TRI report. If interested, attendees can prepare for the webinar by compiling a list of the types and amounts of chemicals they have onsite at their facility. This list will help attendees determine if their facility requires a TRI report and jump start your submittal process.

You’ll learn:

  • Which facilities need to report
  • What chemicals/PBTs should be included/evaluated
  • Quantity threshold determinations
  • Exemptions to reporting
  • Common TRI reporting errors
  • How to submit TRI reports and use TRIMeWeb
  • Available support resources
