Maintenance Departments: What OSHA Requires for Both In-House Teams and Outside Contractors

Maintenance Departments Webinar Recording

When establishing the safety program requirements for your maintenance workers, both in-house teams and outside contractors, it’s tempting to think that one size fits all. Yet the OSHA regulations that apply to each group are different.

While there is some overlap, it’s crucial to understand the differences in order to make sure your organization is in full compliance and addressing all of the areas of concern.

Join us on June 21 for an in-depth webinar all about the applicable rules and best practices for all of your maintenance workers.

You’ll learn:

  • The OSHA requirements that apply to both in-house maintenance organizations and outside contractors, and the rules that apply only to one group or the other
  • How to effectively assess your existing programs to ensure that requirements for both groups have been addressed
  • Real-life best practices that have worked well for other companies
  • The most commonly cited violations for maintenance workers – both in-house and contracted – and how to avoid them
  • Tips for effectively communicating safety rules and compliance expectations to your outside contractors
  • How to work with your purchasing and legal departments to get safety-conscious contractors on board
  • Who’s responsible for monitoring the safety practices and compliance of your outside maintenance contractors – you, the contracting company, or both of you
