Employee Tough Talks: How to Drive Positive Change and Get the Results You Need

Employee Tough Talks Webinar Recording

How do you deal with an employee who is constantly late for work? What about the constant complainer or one whose negative behavior is taking a toll on coworkers? What’s the best way to handle a sensitive employee who has trouble hearing bad news?

If you don’t address these problems, you're putting your organization at risk for missed goals, employee conflict, loss of top performers, even a lawsuit.

Having difficult conversations with employees is never HR's favorite task, but knowing how to handle awkward and uncomfortable situations in a structured, positive way can often turn a problem employee into a valuable team member—something that can only benefit your workplace.

Participate in this interactive webinar, and in just 90 minutes, you'll learn:

  • Setting the foundation for effective conversations before your office door closes
  • Establishing the right state of mind, reducing stress, and setting the right tone with your employee
  • Conversation keys for fixing attitude, behavior, and performance
  • Tools for dealing with those especially awkward discussions involving hygiene, gossip, and other areas where it gets personal
  • Key phrases that stop employees from going on the defensive and turn them into allies
  • Different techniques to apply to difficult employee personality types
  • How to ask "What?" instead of "Why?"
  • How to apply a natural sense of curiosity to a tense situation to yield creative and innovative solutions
  • How to say no to a request for a raise, a promotion, or for more responsibility in a way that preserves egos and builds partnerships
  • The main reason people leave organizations and how you can avoid giving them that catalyst
  • Techniques for calming the nerves that naturally come along with preparing and conducting difficult conversations
  • How to avoid the usual post conversation self-berating that follows performance reviews

Difficult conversations with employees don’t need to be that difficult. In just 90 minutes, you'll learn tips and tricks for making tough conversations with employees productive, effective, and even educational. Register now for this risk-free interactive event.
