Live Webinar: Monday, October 23, 2017

1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Eastern/10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pacific

WEBINAR SNAPSHOT: Learn about the new updates to the NFPA 70E standard and how to implement them into your workplace to ace OSHA electrical compliance and prevent arc flash and other electrical incidents.

NFPA just released its 2018 version of NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety. Although not a legally required standard to follow, NFPA 70E adoption is highly recommended by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration for safety managers to meet the OSHA requirements regarding electrical safety.

The 2015 and 2018 releases of this standard mark a dramatic shift in safety regulation, with stress on the importance of hazard and risk analysis as a core decision-making process. It is imperative that employers keep all employees that are exposed to electrical and arc flash hazards in the workplace current on these changes, as improvement to electrical safety approaches will drive the industry towards the ultimate goal- zero electrical injuries or fatalities. This webinar will address all major changes to the 2018 NFPA 70E standard, including insight into why each change was made and how to apply the changes to your workplace.

Join us on October 23, when Kenneth Sellars of e-Hazard will explain the thought-processes that led to the latest standard revisions and how they will affect your workplace.

You’ll learn:

  • Hierarchy of risk controls and whether or not they’re mandatory
  • Importance of job safety planning
  • Changes to the electrical safety program, including lockout-tagout and incident investigations
  • How the restricting or task restructuring might affect your site
  • Clarification of NFPA 70E auditing and training requirements
  • Specific application methods and tips to making your workplace compliant
  • And more!
